Thought I’d share a few notes I jotted down during Fukuoka Base Camp. I sat with 124 Distributors who qualified for the two-day event by reaching 1K or higher. The growth that’s happening in Japan right now is inspiring, and I could see where it’s coming from as I looked over the room.

Day one, Shiokawa-san opened with a number of impressive statistics to frame the context of this event. They had a similar event in May with about 50 attendees, so they put some significant emphasis on building for this event to grow it as much as they have. Of the 124 attendees, 74 are 1K, 38 are 5K, seven are 20K, three are Premier and two are 100K.

Eiichi is an amazing GM who understands this market and is completely connected to our leaders here. He is spending his time and effort with our leaders who are producing results. Among other things, one of the points in his opening presentation was the announcement of the new office coming in January, which was very well received.

Fantastic messages from a big crop of emerging 5Ks—Misako Ogura, Mina Oonishi, Tomomi Takeda, Atsuko Ito and Yoshihiro Kawashita. All were quick to honor their uplines.

Eiichi turned the time over to me to outline our vision for the next year and highlight a number of our Distributors here who have contributed to the 100%+ growth that has happened under Eiichi’s leadership. I impressed upon the crowd that each of them must make the decision to “be the one.”

Keiko then presented our Japan NFR and the FAVAO pre-launch program. The response to FAVAO has been amazing—it’s going to do big things for these Distributors’ businesses.

Anton did a fantastic job of telling his story as a backdrop to capitalizing on the current opportunity in Japan. He shared his journey to 500K and related it to how he’s adapting his business to make the most of the incredible FAVAO opportunity as he works toward Re-Discovery.

The night culminated with a recognition dinner where we enjoyed course after course of beautifully presented and excellent-tasting food. We also honored our 5K achievers and other top performers, as well as singing happy birthday to all those with birthdays this month. A tremendously fun night.

Day two was highlighted by Senior Director XANGO Japan, Masato Yoneda, training on the necessity of building trusting relationships in this industry. After that, Distributors broke into groups to discuss what it takes to become a leader, each one presenting what they’d come up with from stage.

A huge thanks to our amazing Japanese support staff. This event has been executed to perfection and it’s always great to hear from the leaders who inspire so much success. Can’t wait to see how many Japanese Distributors qualify for the next event like this one!
